NEW SEASON, SAME EXPECTATIONS

The upcoming season opener is September 7, against the much hated Baltimore Raisins. This game officially starts the season. The club is going to have a tailgate party out back of the C.C.C. oops the Bullseye starting at 10am. The usual fare will be served (beer, burgers, Kielbasa, Etc.). We have many new faces at the club starting with the new owner, Rick. It is very important that we show our support. The way we do this is to show up at the club each and every week, buy food, beer and tip the waitresses just like we have done for the past 8 years. Remember the only way to help make sure the Bullseye remains a Steeler’s bar is to come out to watch every game here at the Bullseye Bar & Grille.

Thanks, Jack

GRETTINGS BULLSEYE STEELER FANS!
BY STEVE BACHMAN

As you know, running a club of this size and complexity is a very time consuming and thankless job, and it has become increasingly difficult to get information out to all members on a timely basis. So, we are asking for your help! YOU DO NOT have to be a member of the club to be involved. We are always striving to make these games fun and enjoyable for us all. The training camp trip this summer was FANTASTIC! However, we had no way to let everyone here know what the plans were. This will help!

The PSFCOB Club's database has over 2,500 names…with that many members, it is hard to keep the information up-to-date. What we would like to do is to update our information here at the Bullseye Bar and Grille to better keep us all in the loop on things. Here is what we need.

For the next few weeks there will be a sign up form and entry box in the Bullseye Bar and Grille during the games. PLEASE fill in your name, address, phone number, and E-mail address (if you have one). Believe me we are not going to sell this list to an outside party and will only use this information for Club purposes. This will allow us to send out information to the Bullseye PSFCOB members on a timely basis. Personally, I am looking forward to another exciting season. This is the year the Black n Gold goes all the way!

IT'S RAFFLE TIME!
BY ANN MURK

It's Raffle time;! Before you know it Jack will be saying those famous words as the seconds tick down to the end of the 2nd quarter. Diane and I will be tearing tickets as fast as we can and telling everyone what is available in the raffle that day. The raffle tickets will remain the same price- $1 for one or $5 for six. The raffle will be held at the end of the third quarter. We will be offering a number of prizes for the winners to choose from as we did last year. Remember that you can only win one prize each week, so if you win, hand your lucky tickets to a fellow fan so that they might win also. Be sure to get your money ready.

We also have some special prizes this year, shirts and hats that were autographed at Training Camp. We will be raffling those off during special raffles throughout the season. For example, those raffles will be held during tailgate parties and special games. All of the proceeds from those raffles will be used to donate to a charitable cause. We feel that it is important to give back to our community throughout the year and not just at holidays. We appreciate your continued support.

SHOPPING FOR THE RAFFLE.
By DIANE VARRICCHIO

With the beginning of each football season comes the search for new and unusual raffle prizes. We never know what we will find and where we will find Steeler prizes. While we were experiencing Steeler Training Camp, we purchased a good amount of Steeler gear. They range from various styles of hats, visors, jerseys, T-shirts and many other unusual items. If you happen upon any Steeler stuff, let us know. Reminder that the raffle is still $1 a piece and 6 for $5. The proceeds help to purchase prizes, have tailgate parties, decorate the club, and donate to local charities. Here's to a great season!

FAMILY REUNION
BY KARLENE STALEY

Well, the first family reunion at the former CCC, now Bullseye Bar & Grill was nonetheless a success. As 11:30 am rolled around, the bar already had more than 20 fans setting up tables, saving their yearly seats and talking "Steeler" football. By 11:31 am Jack was already perched on his stool in front of the TV, scanning every satellite and every channel. Minute by minute another fan sporting their Black and Gold would enter and join. Our new bar maid Steph and her coworkers were busy stocking the coolers and preparing for the crowd.

As everyone had noticed some things have changed but everyone was giving their thoughts on how we could make adjustments to be ready for our 8th Steeler season. Its now 12:25pm and although Jack hasn't found the game Myron Cope and friends are broadcasting live from 970 the burgh in Pittsburgh. Special thanks to Tim Varricchio for stopping by on his way home from O. C. to set the computer up.

Its game time! The bar has more than 50 people and many still on their way. Jack, now an hour into searching, has yet to be able to find the game; however, several members were massaging his remote thumb and wiping the sweat off his forehead. "

How was your summer? Did you go away on vacation? How was training camp? Welcome to the club. What do you think ?— One for the thumb this year?" Conversation was buzzing as we were all reunited for the first Steeler preseason game.

Myron Cope with his live broadcast and the club's slide show from training camp kept the crowd eating and drinking. Steph and her crew with the addition of our new barmaid Joan kept the great food coming. They never missed a beat. By half time no luck with the game (we have the wrong type of satellite and it doesn't carry the Ku-band we need [please note Jack's thumb was now numb) . Despite no game our fans lingered around to enjoy the conversations about the Steelers and the upcoming season. Overall the first Preseason Family Reunion was a success.
