PSFCOB MEMBERSHIP STANDS AT 1981
As the Pittsburgh Steeler Fan Club of Baltimore enters its 10th season, we are coming upon a very important milestone:
MEMBER #2000. With current memberships at 1981, we will undoubtedly hit this mark during the season opener against the Cleveland Clowns.
To commemorate this hallowed occasion, the PSFCOB will hold a special lottery. No membership numbers will be issued to new fans during the pre-season and during the first quarter of the season opener. Instead, all these memberships will be placed in a barrel and a drawing will be held at halftime. Even though the drawing will take place at The Purple Goose Saloon, all fan club bars will be participating via a speakerphone hookup. This means that even if a new member joins at Shooters, Calgary, Belles or Lolas during the preseason or the first quarter of the opener, they are eligible to be MEMBER #2000. The only stipulation is that you must be present at one of the Fan Club bars to qualify to be MEMBER #2000. Those in the lottery who do not get chosen will be sent their membership card and numbers in the mail about a week after the game.
A special prize will be awarded to MEMBER #2000 and will be just another reason to celebrate on a day when Steeler celebrations will be the norm. The only question is: Can MEMBER #3000 be that far off.....?
