Nikolos George Alexander Koplos born on April 9, 2003 to Bob and Dawn Koplos 8 pounds, 14 ounces, 21 inches

I may have lost some birth announcements so if you sent me something and it's not here, PLEASE resend it so it can be included in the next edition.

* If you'll recall, there was a raffle last year for 2 mounted seats from old Three River Stadium. Over 350 tickets were sold and the winner was Dwain Ruckel of Mount Airy. Dwain usually travels to Krugs to watch the Steelers on Sundays and likely is spending his other free time planted in one of those historic seats. Congratulations, Dwain !!!

* PSFCOB high fives go out to Member #356 Barry McGraw on his position as General manager of Shooters in Severna Park. While Shooters has always been a FANtastic place to watch the Steelers, it can only be better now that one of our own is running the show. Make sure you say "Hi" to Barry next time you stop by.

* The First Annual PSFCOB Golf Outing was held this past June 28th at Patuxent Greens Country Club in Laurel. Although the turnout was lighter than expected (only 16 entries), all those who attended had a great time. Plans are in the works to hold another event next year at a different location and it will be better publicized in order to have an even better turnout. Many thanks to PSFCOBer Doug "Pav" Pavlosky for his assistance in putting this outing together.

* As many of you know (or figured out), the Annual Fan Club Picnic originally scheduled for June 7 was rained out. Actually, "rained out" is too mild a term. It was completely washed away. We had originally planned to hold the event indoors if the weather didn't cooperate but the weather was just too bad to even do that. The 30 or so patrons who did show up demonstrated true grit and Fan Club spirit to venture out in such conditions and their resolve is to be commended.

The make-up date of July 19 dawned warm, clear and dry and the 125 or so folks who turned out enjoyed themselves immensely and made the day a complete success. There are too many people to thank but those who showed up early were pressed into "set up duty" and came through like the true fans they are. If it rains next year, maybe we'll just have a regatta.

* Good luck goes out to PSFCOBer Mel "I was pushed" Freeman as he embarks on his political career. Mel is running for Baltimore City Council in the 13th District. It certainly can't hurt to have a Steelers fan on the City Council so, if you live in the 13th District, check out Mel's platform and see if he is indeed the man for the job. May all your handshakes be dry, my friend.

* Work is progressing towards trying to get Official PSFCOB license plates available for all those who have expressed an interest. Unfortunately, we have run into problems with the Maryland DMV as it pertains to logo and letter sizing. We are trying to get these issues resolved and details will be available in upcoming editions of The Black and Gold Post.
