STEELERS BACK IN '99
As we embark upon a new year, let us start with a clean slate. Let us not dwell upon the problems that plagued the Black n' Gold in 1998. That is ancient history and reliving those memories will serve no useful purpose. This is 1999. A new season. A new beginning. Everyone is tied for first place. While training camp doesn't open for another 1 1/2 months, rest assured that Coach Cowher started his preparation shortly after that final whistle blew in Jacksonville last December. As we Steeler Fans are all too well aware, a game plan is not etched in stone. It is like a fine instrument that needs constant tuning and manipulation to deliver the finest possible end product. After all, this is why they play the game. Rooney and Company have what they believe to be the finest possible pieces to make this instrument ring true. Time will tell and, if all goes according to plan, we will celebrate the Millennium by putting one more Lombardi Trophy in the case with the other four.
