NEWS FROM AROUND THE PSFCOB BARS
DIRECTIONS TO EACH LOCATION

THE PURPLE GOOSE SALOON
Coordinator—President Steve Chiurazzi

Crowds at The Purple Goose Saloon this season have been overflowing. Black ‘n Gold patrons are coming weekly from Delaware, Pennsylvania and Virginia to see what the PSFCOB is all about. Seats are not normally reserved on game days so if you want to be a part of the action, it is suggested that you arrive early and stake your claim to a seat.

Our annual Toy Drive will be held the weeks of the Washington game and the Jacksonville game. Given that the Deadskins fall on Thanksgiving weekend and the Jags are a Sunday Night contest, members may not make it for one reason or another. With that being said, if you have a toy you want to drop off, feel free to do so anytime during the week between those games.

Many PSFCOB thanks to the kitchen and staff at The Purple Goose Saloon. These folks are barraged on a weekly basis by thirsty and hungry members and seem to rise to the occasion every time. Keep up the good work !!!

SHOOTERS SPORTS BAR
Coordinators—Charlotte, Teresa, Keith, Sherri, Rob)

We had a tailgate party at Shooters on Sunday, October 17th. As usual, Shooters outdid themselves. In addition to the customary dogs, kielbasa, burgers, and free beer, Shooters provided potato salad, pickles, sauerkraut, and cole slaw. Thanks to Matt, Dave, Barry, and the entire Shooters staff for giving us the best tailgate parties. Rob and Sherri always do a tremendous job with the cooking and the weather couldn’t have been better to spend hours outside talking about our Steelers.

Paul McPheron, one of the club’s earliest members, attended the Miami game with his son, Mark. Paul fell at half-time and broke a leg, fractured a hip, and damaged his shoulder. He’s convalescing at home now and, hopefully, will be back on his feet and at Shooters again.

BULLS EYE BAR AND GRILL
Coordinators—Jack & Kar Staley, Pat & Diane Varricchio

We kicked off the season by having a club picnic at Steve and Ro Bachman's house July 18th. There were many club members attending from the entire PSFCOB! Strategies were discussed, beer and pop drunk, burgers and sausage grilled. The only thing missing was the corn on the cob and watermelon.

Remember with each win, we get more fans at the club, It's almost like the 1995 season, a record turn out. If you plan to get a seat you need to get there early, otherwise your seat will be taken Remember to share your table with other fans.

Congratulations to Pat and Jack Lawson on the birth of their grandson Gavin. The first thing they did was sign him up as a PSFCOB member 2 days after he was born. I do believe he is the youngest member of the Bullseye chapter of the PSFCOB. Also Coaches Daughter Amy had the question popped to her by no other than Jason. An October 2005 wedding is planned.

We will be collecting once again for the Family Crisis center, look for the donation boxes in the back of the room.

KRUGS PLACE
Coordinators—Terry Oliver, Dan Maerzluft, Mike Adkins

This has been some year at Krugs Place! We have seen record turnouts for every game, even the delayed hurricane game vs Miami. We broke last season’s new member record in the first game! We are easily on track to break last year’s donation record to Feed The Children, and last year was an all time record breaker. We raise our glasses to all of the generous members of our chapter, thank you!

Another big thanks goes to Steeler-Steve for coming out with the Terrible Grill this year and being a grilling machine! It was a good time had by all, except Jeff, who busted his face up on that light pole during a friendly game of lot-ball. At least the ER released him in time for the 2nd half! We are planning another tailgate for the Steeler Super Bowl this year!

Our big wedding announcement this year includes two long-time club members, Jen Melans and Rob Kline. They will be joined in Black and Gold, excuse me, holy matrimony on December 11th this year, but sorry guys, no jerseys over your suits.

LOLA’S AT HEMMINGWAY’S
Coordinator, Norm Amorose

Chuck and Johanna, Kathleen, Tom and Nancy - Ryan and Colin, Nebraska, Steve and Biana - Elizabeth and Steven, Bake, Chas and Tom, Harold and Jim , Tucker and Maggie, Mike, Rick and Joan, John Judy Bob and JoJo, the guy that always comes late and sits in the corner, John from Delaware, the new guy that sits at the bar with the really good looking wife, the girls from the ‘burgh that were down for a concert, the travelers on their way back from the ocean,…and lots of other Steeler fans have discovered that Lola’s is a great place to watch the games.

Every seat is right in front of a TV (except for that guy in the corner), the views of the Bay and bridge are fantastic, and the 4 O’clock games provide an incredible sunset. There is a great menu (we devoured Tuna against Dallas), and had our annual regulars appreciation deck/pig/pierogie gator and super raffle on Nov 7th.

Many thanks to Mike Belasco, Rick and Joan Kravons, Steve and Biana Arentz and everyone else that contributed.
