ANNUAL PITTSBURGH TRIP UPDATE
Things are coming together nicely for our annual pilgrimage to the mighty 'Burgh. With the trip a little more than a month away, there are only about a dozen or so tickets left for this PSFCOB extravaganza. While there is always a possibility to secure more tickets, doing so may involve a higher cost than what has been previously advertised. The decision to get more tickets will depend solely on demand.
The Carolina Panthers should prove to be a worthy opponent for the Steelers. After getting off to a 3-0 start, they have fallen off a bit but there defense ranks as one of the best in the NFC. I guarantee they will not know what hit them as the come to Heinz Field and witness first hand what a force the PSFCOB has become. We are a classic example of "the 12th man".
For those who have gone on this annual adventure before, things will be pretty much the same as in years past. Our Saturday Night Party at The Sheraton will "officially" kick off the weekend and will begin around 7:00 PM. This celebration will continue into the wee hours of Sunday morning. One must "pace" themselves when considering that the Tailgate Party comes awful early on game day and no excuses about Saturday Night will be accepted. Renowned author Jim O'Brien has once again agreed to join us for the Saturday extravaganza. Jim has written numerous works about the Steelers and everything that is Pittsburgh and any one of the works in his "Pittsburgh Proud" series would make a great addition to your personal library or a perfect Christmas gift for anyone on your list.
The best damn Tailgate Party in Pittsburgh will begin game day for the PSFCOB faithful and will start up around 8:00 AM. This is the perfect way to get fired up to watch some Steeler football. Only the hardiest of souls with a yearning to help need show up early to assist in getting things ready to roll. Any assistance from anyone is be gladly accepted as this is an undertaking like no other.
The Tailgate Party will once again be held behind Reinhold's Ice Cream Company at 800 Fulton Street. This is just a couple blocks north of Heinz Field and the site offers a spectacular view of the top of the ball yard, the city skyline and Mount Washington. As always, we start it all up again immediately following the Steeler victory and celebrate into the night.
A trip confirmation package will be sent out to all those who placed orders later on this month. This will confirm the number of tickets and/or tailgate party passes ordered as well as confirmation numbers for your hotel reservations. It will also include a map showing the location of the best damn Tailgate Party in town and will answer any pending questions you may have about this once-a-year PSFCOB weekend.
