WANTED

Someone to carry the Official Pittsburgh Steeler Fan Club of Baltimore Banner into Heinz Field. This is an honor and a responsibility not to be taken lightly. We have gotten away from this tradition a few years back but with the opening of the new Heinz Field, the time is right to revive the tradition.

Anyone interested would be responsible for taking the Banner from the Tailgate Party, hanging it in a prominent area of the stadium and then, most importantly, retrieving it and bringing it back to the Tailgate Party.

Any PSFCOBer(s) up to the challenge? If so, e-mail Steve Chiurazzi and let's talk about it.

PSFCOB E-MAIL GROUP
by Ed McConnell

The PSFCOB group e-mail list is much more then just a list of e-mail addresses. Take some time to explore our Yahoo e-mail group's homepage

It includes an audio or typing chatroom, a photo album area, a files section and more. The only thing needed to access these areas is to login using your e-mail group membership e-mail address associated with a password. This can be done in the register section if not already done.

I have created a photo album group titled PSFCOB PHOTOGRAPHS. Under that is an albums titled TRS Tailgate Photos for 1998, 1999, and 2000. Any PSFCOB e-mail group member can add other albums for viewing by all members. I also added is a couple of sound bytes from Myron Cope in the files section.

Is anyone interested in audio chat? What night of the week/time would be good to try it? It can be accessed at anytime so feel free to get a group together and try it out. If you want, contact me and I will help you get started.

We have added over 20 new PSFCOB group e-mail members since the last newsletter came out. We now have over 85 members. Welcome to all and lets keep growing!

CLUB NOTES

* Club member Todd Novobilsky married Miss Laura Fausnaugh on July 28, 2001. Laura will be joining Todd as a Fan Club member at The Purple Goose to cheer on the Black and Gold (like she has a choice). Congrats to both of you from your friends in the PSFCOB.

* In recognition of Cleveland's Brownclowns achievement of already surpassing their win total from last year (and it only took like what, 27 first round draft picks), I offer the following that are great at producing what reminds me of Cleveland:

- Delaney Morgan Heurich born on August 31st to Krug's fixture Chuck Heurich and his wife Marti. Delaney was 8 lbs, 9 oz and 21 inches long. Daddy Chuck says that he hopes to bring her to Krug's sometime soon to teach her what real football fans are all about!

- Jacenty (Jasek) Lawrence Milauskas born on September 20th to PSFCOBer Rick Milauskas and his wife Victoria. Jasek was 7 lbs, 11 oz and 20.5 inches long. Dad describes him a "a keeper". For any of you who know Rick, I'm sure you share my sentiment when I say "Pray for this Child".

* PSFCOBer Gary Munday, a C.C.C. regular, gave the perfect birthday gift to his girlfriend Dawn Martin earlier this year. Dawn, a big Steeler fan in her own right, received a trip to St. Vincent's College in Latrobe to take part in the 1st Annual Training Camp for Women. This was held on July 29th and included assistance from such former Steelers as Craig Wolfley, Louis Lipps and Mike Merriweather and current kicker Kris Brown. Dawn had the time of her life and even had her picture in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette running wind sprints. Good idea, Gary but don't make the rest of us guys look bad.

* This little yuk-yuk was forwarded to me by a number of Fan Club members but I first received it from none other than my little sister up in Pittsburgh: Four football fans go rock climbing one afternoon; a Bengals fan, a Browns fan, a Ravens fan, and a Steelers fan. They had been arguing all the way up the mountain about who among them was the most "die-hard" fan.

Upon reaching the top of the mountain, the Bengals fan proclaimed to the other four..."This is for the Cincinnati Bengals!" and promptly threw himself off the mountain as a form of sacrifice. Not to be outdone by a Bengals fan, the Browns fan jumped up and said "This is for the Cleveland Browns!" and then threw himself off the mountain again as a form of sacrifice. Refusing to be outdone by the Bengal and Browns fans, the Steelers fan rose to his feet and yelled at the top of his lungs "This is for the Pittsburgh Steelers!" and without any hesitation, pushed the Baltimore Ravens fan off the mountain. Good one, Chrissy. Thanks.

* The many members of the Fan Club e-mail group had to be as thrilled as I was to see messages from PSFCOBer Dean Apperson, a member of our Armed Forces who is currently stationed over in Kuwait. Dean certainly brings a different perspective on things and we need to realize that Dean and many like him are fighting to preserve our right to enjoy the way of life we do. To Dean, and the thousands like him, the PSFCOB says thanks and come home soon.
